So I Started Watching Slam Dunk...

So I recently started Slam Dunk (I know crazy right?) and from just watching 3 episodes, I can see some differences it has from other shows. Good differences. Even small stuff like when the Main Character, Sakuragi Hanamichi, got yelled at by his crush and attempted to commit suicide by jumping off the roof of the school.

I thought that was funny and it was probably meant for comedy. I just don't see stuff like that in today's anime (maybe I'm not looking hard enough idk) but I know that wouldn't go with how society is today being all sensitive. No offense. 😉

Back on topic I love the scene where the Sakuragi was taking deep breaths and that's all you could hear.

No music or crowd cheering, nothing. AND I LOVED THAT! Being such an old anime I'm surprised I've never seen that before in anime I've watched. Again it's just the small things I notice that makes me enjoy the show even more and where I can see the originality in the show as well.

Of course I have to sit through some average shonen tropes and an old bad quality show (it's a 90's show so it can't be helped) but I'm enjoying the show so far. From the looks of it, I'm barely even scratching the surface with how many more episodes it has. Looking forward to watching more of it!
